Eggnog Recipe
Makes about a quart of 'nog.
Ingredients
- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 cups white sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg to taste
- rum to taste
Procedure
- Bring milk to medium-low heat, then add spices, vanilla, and rum and cook for five more minutes.
- Whisk together the yolks and sugar until light yellow and fluffy.
- Boil the milk mixture and add it into the egg mixture SLOWLY, spoon by spoon.
- Put the mixture back on heat and stir in cream, then continue to stir until it thickens slightly.
- Refridgerate the lot, for at least a couple hours before serving.
- Drink and enjoy!
