Chocolate Cake

Makes enough cake for roughly twelve people

Ingredients

Procedure

  1. Heat oven to 350F, and grease two 9-inch round baking pans
  2. Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla, beat until combined
  4. Stir in water, and spread batter evenly between the two pans
  5. Put the pans in the oven, set a timer for 35 minutes, and start making the icing!

    MINI RECIPE: ICING

    Ingredients
    • 1 stick butter
    • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • 1/3 cup milk (add more as needed)
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    Procedure
    1. Melt butter
    2. Combine butter and cocoa
    3. Alternate between adding powdered sugar and milk until both are gone
    4. Continue adding milk if needed, until the icing is smooth and silky
    5. Mix in vanilla
  6. Check if the cakes are done with the toothpick test, then remove, ice, and enjoy!
