Apple Crisp

Makes a 9x13 pan of crisp

Ingredients

Procedure

  1. Preheat oven to 375F
  2. Peel and slice apples, to the size and shape desired
  3. Toss the apple slices with half a cup of sugar, apple cider, and cinnamon
  4. Lay the apple mixture evenly into the baking pan
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour with the rest of the sugar, the salt, and the butter (you may want to cube the butter first)
  6. Blend the flour mixture together with two forks, crossing the forks and pressing them down repeatedly until the butter is fully broken up
  7. Take the flour mixture and lay it over the apples by hand, patting it down as you go
  8. Bake for between 40 and 90 minutes, until the top is browning visibly, then let cool, serve (with vanilla ice cream if you want) and enjoy!
